1

Born from a gap

PeopleFund launched the Veteran Collaborative after seeing Veterans face a shortfall of more than $100 million in capital for their small businesses.
2

From collaborative to corporation

That effort grew into Veteran Loan Fund Corporation, funding CDFIs with capital and connecting Veterans nationwide to lenders.
3

Growing every year

More than $115 million funded since inception, a first accelerator cohort complete, 15 lending partners and expanding, and CRA recognition from the Dallas Fed.
Where we are headed
$250M
Our target: $250 million in Veteran lending across the USA by 2028, funded through our next rounds.
What we believe

The principles behind everything we do.

Veterans first

Everything starts with those who served, and their spouses. Their success is the whole point.

Access over obstacles

We exist to close the capital gap, not add to it. When a bank says no, we work to find a yes.

Local roots, national reach

Capital is deployed by CDFI lenders who know their communities, backed by a network that spans the country.

More than capital

Funding is the start. Coaching, tools, and a community of founders carry Veterans the rest of the way.

Who we serve

Real Veteran businesses, growing every day.

The founders behind the numbers, funded through our lending network.

Sanford Sourdough
Sourdough bakery, Round Rock, TX
The Sanfords moved to Texas with a sourdough starter they had kept alive for more than a decade. What began as loaves for their own kitchen became a favorite at the local farmers market, and in 2020, with early backing from PeopleFund, a storefront bakery in Round Rock that regulars now count on for their daily bread.

FourS Boarding
Pet boarding, Grandview, TX
Twenty years and fifteen moves with four dogs of their own taught this retired Army family exactly what great pet care should feel like. So they built it: a pristine kennel on a quiet 12-acre farm in Grandview, run with the same discipline and devotion they gave to a career of service.

Patriot Construction
Construction, Texas
A Veteran owned construction company that carries the discipline of military service onto the job site, from the first blueprint to the final build, treating every project like it matters, because it does.
